As if the flood of 2009 was not enough for our house, we have had several other home repairs and remodels that weren’t initially in our plan.  This Fall, it was no surprise when we had finally cushioned our emergency fund and our home seemed to be falling apart all over again.  First, our water heater flooded the garage/studio.  What a joy it was to replace it and the carpet.  Next, the washer flooded the laundry room.  Upon further investigation, it was revealed that we had rot down to the subfloor.  The memories of removing the flooring and remodeling the laundry room warm my heart.  (dripping with sarcasm here)   We were blessed with a washer and dryer that is in good working order.  This was a huge blessing since our emergency fund was now completely depleted.  Dale took the opportunity to replace some of the wood flooring as well.  For now, it is like our home is just like new.
