The
Summer of Camps
Camp season started
with just Heather and the girls meeting up with friends for the Annual 4th
of July Camp out at Detroit Lake. They
were very impressed with their skills in packing it, setting it up, and returning
with it all intact.
The second
camp was at the end of July to Camp Tadmor with the Middle School students.
Heather was blessed to have Hayley as a co-counselor for Hannah’s cabin. Awesomeness (or our niece Madilynn) came from
Tennessee to join us. The weather was
perfect. While attempting to climb the
high ropes tree, Heather pulled her shoulder out once again. Hayley broke her toe. What a great match we were. Hannah was brave and made it to the top of
the rope swing. Hayden and Dale spent a
lot of time together. Dale had the
opportunity to paintball with his niece.
The Third
Camp, Hume Lake, was in the middle of August.
It was Heather and Hayley’s first time to the camp. We drove from Oregon to Hume Lake which is in
the Southern Sierra’s and Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. The elevation is 5200 ft. It is a beautiful setting. Heather really connected with the girls in
her cabin. Overall, it was a very
memorable experience.
