Working Things Out. The Great Calling.
In March, Dale
found out that his boss, Jim Ramos, was launching The Great Hunt for God, a
non-profit ministry to transform men into leaders. Dale
was offered the position with approval of the other Pastors, families, and
teens in the church. Dale was offered to
pursue his calling to be the Student Ministries Pastor. In June, Jim handed the “baton” to Dale. More
responsibilities at work and less time at home, we have adjusted to the new
work load. It still amazes me that we
were headed down a completely different path 11 years ago.
Heather was laid
off in October 2011 from Square Deal Construction Co. Instead of returning to work, she opted to
care for grandma, spending the last days with her. In April, the family was feeling the strain on
finances. Heather offered to do some
data entry work for a friend. In May, that
experience landed Heather a job as bookkeeper and office manager at McMinnville
Healing Massage on 3rd street.
The flexibility and location are perfect for Heather. She is so excited to be in an office downtown
again. It is the perfect job, using
Heather’s calling in the workplace to share life with others.
Hayley had
her first official job this summer. While taking care of her sisters, she also
took an opportunity to work in the Childcare at Crossfit. She has been certified at the hospital and was
selected to volunteer in the Children’s department at our Church. Her favorite experiences are sneaking cuddle
time with her favorite girl, Addy, and playing with little Brody, who she
occasionally cares for. She’d love a
career in early childhood education.
