Happy New Adventure!!!

Happy New Year 2015!!!

The New Year is already starting off different from what we had originally planned.  So we are going to stop setting goals and expectations for the year and start expecting God to show us his plan.  Seems like a better plan anyway.

Let's go back to December 17.  This is the day we learned that the duplex on Susan lane was not going to be available to move into like we had planned.  So I frantically repacked most all the boxes that I had in my possession (Dale had already taken a truckload to McMinnville earlier in December).  We had plenty of help packing and loading the vehicles.  Connor, Kya and Sabrina came from McMinnville to help us and when we arrived, there were plenty of people who were more then happy to rearrange the storage area and unload in the pouring rain.  Our amazing friends, Vonnie and Gary Davis offered for us to stay with them until the duplex was ready and we were so blessed to walk into a home completely decked out in Christmas and quickly made ourselves at home.  This is a good thing, since it wasn't even 24 hours later that we learned the duplex was not going to be an option for us.  The Davis's have agreed for us to stay until we have found a home.

Our address until we find that home is now 660 NW Jason Court.

Tomorrow we all start a new chapter in our journey.  Dale and I will start working and each of the girls will start school.  Hayley will be attending Amity High School.  We think it will be a great fit for her now that she is used to a smaller town and school setting.  Hayden is going to be in Mr. Strobel's class at Newby which is a total last minute surprise that I prayed fervently for and found out that my prayer was answered on Friday.  Both Hayley and Hannah were blessed to have him as a teacher.  Hannah will be going to Duniway.  She is totally excited to see all her friends.

Both Hayley and I are looking for jobs.  I am going to be working for a short time getting an office put together and some bookkeeping support, but I would love to find a 30 -40 hour/week job in McMinnville.  If you hear of anything in the bookkeeping/clerical area, please let me now.  Hayley has completed all her applications and put together a resume and will be dropping them all off tomorrow.

Many people are asking what Church we are attending.  We haven't made a definite choice at this point, but we have attended McMinnville Praise on 3rd street and really like it.  Today we were excited to hear Ron Noble present a wonderful message to help us stay focused this year.

We are happy to be here in McMinnville again.  Looking forward to meeting up with all the wonderful faces we have missed seeing.

Don't be strangers.

If you are looking for a great church, I would like to suggest Adventure Christian Church. It is located on Newby street behind life Care Center on 27th street.
We have 3 service times(for more information you can checkout the website at www.adventurecc.net). We also have youth groups that meet weekly.
Adventure Christian Church is the church I go to.
